¿What do we need?

In our Foundation we need support to carry out organizational and scientific tasks. We are looking for people who will collaborate with us in administrative, financial, legal, accounting, marketing and communication tasks. At the research level, we value support in the development of literature reviews and reviewing the quality of academic texts written in English and Spanish. We also seek support developing capacity building materrials focused on research skills. Our volunteering is virtual to give people from different contexts the opportunity to collaborate.

¿What do we offer to volunteers?

We seek mutual benefit, which is why by collaborating with our Foundation you will be able to develop and/or apply skills and knowledge that will enrich you professionally. We see volunteering as an opportunity for personal and professional growth for all parties involved, which is why we are developing the IMEK volunteering experience.

As part of this experience and in recognition of your voluntary participation, we offer you training on topics related to research in areas of marketing for social change. At the end of the voluntary stay, we grant a volunteer certificate. For research volunteering, your contribution will be mentioned in the acknowledgments of the publications that we develop.

¿What are the conditions to become a volunteer?

People who speak Spanish, English, Portuguese or Italian can collaborate as volunteers or virtual volunteers with our Foundation. Being a volunteer, we do not offer any type of remuneration. At the beginning of the collaboration we will sign a volunteer agreement within the framework of Colombian Law. We receive applications throughout the year and in order to have a greater impact, we prefer that the minimum time spent volunteering be 7 months.

Stephanie is an architect from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali with a master’s degree in Urban Strategies and Design from the University of Edinburgh. She has professional experience in the design and development of architectural projects of different scales, also developing research projects related to the quality of public spaces in Cali (Colombia) and sustainable construction. She currently works as a consultant and full-time professor at the Faculty of Creation and Habitat of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali.
