Thus, in June 2022, it signed the Consensus Declaration entitled:<b> &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gendro.org\/consensus-statement\" target=\"_blank\">Build back better: towards a gender-responsive international instrument for pandemic prevention, preparedness and response<\/a>.<\/b>&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This Declaration seeks that the new international instrument for the prevention, preparedness and response to pandemics advances gender equality and human rights. Through the Declaration it is suggested, among other things, that the measures adopted by the Member States of the United Nations collect, to analyze and report gender-responsive evidence; they develop and implement inclusive and equitable strategies, policies and plans that take gender dimensions into account, and they are aligned with human rights standards. Also, the Declaration calls for the meaningful participation of diverse groups to enable the implementation of gender and human rights responsive responses. <\/p>\n<p>The Global Consensus document was led by GENDRO, a Swiss non-profit organization that seeks to advance sex and gender equity in research. This Consensus has been endorsed by various international organizations, for example, the DNDi, FIND, Equimundo, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, among others.
