This virtual seminar aims to generate a discussion among Latin American experts with different perspectives and experiences related to specific topics. For this first cycle, the following topics will be addressed: gender violence; salt substitutes, and protection of ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p id=\"eluid9fe8fa87\" class=\"eluid9fe8fa87 dn-heading\">This webinar on salt substitutes to prevent and control noncommunicable diseases will take place on 23 March 2023. This webinar will be moderated by <strong>Carlos Fernando Valencia Pe\u00f1uela Mg.<\/strong>, member of LAMSO. She is also a Researcher at the Costa Rican Institute for Research and Teaching in Nutrition and Health (INCIENSA); She is a member of the PAHO\/WHO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases through the Reduction of Dietary Salt, 2009-2020. She is part of various scientific networks, technical commissions and international and national societies related to public health, nutrition and food. She has received three international awards associated with her work in reducing sodium intake.
