The Latin American Social Marketing Association (LAMSO) and IMEK Research Center in Marketing & Development come together to facilitate spaces that bring together social change actors from Latin America, to discuss problems that affect the region and how they could be addressed through social marketing. These virtual seminars aim to generate discussions among Latin American experts with different perspectives and experiences related to specific topics. For this first cycle, the following topics will be addressed: gender violence; salt substitutes, and protection of ecosystems.<\/p>\n

The third virtual seminar on the protection of ecosystems will take place on March 30, 2023. This webinar will be moderated by In\u00e9s Besada Paullier<\/strong>, member of the LAMSO Board of Directors. This dialogue will be moderated by Nathaly Aya Pastrana MSc. PhD<\/strong>, President of LAMSO and IMEK.<\/p>\n

Victoria G\u00f3mez M\u00e1rquez Mg. PhD (Uruguay)<\/strong>, is Research and Public Opinion Coordinator at the Faculty of Communication at the University of Montevideo (UM). PhD in Environmental Communication from Dublin City University (Ireland), where she is part of the Center for Climate and Society. With a degree in
Communication (2006) from the UM and a Master’s in Social Policies and Community Mediation (2009) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
At UM, she has promoted and coordinated studies, seminars, publications, and outreach programs on communication for development and social change. In the social field, he promoted and co-coordinated the project A sustainable school (2013-2017), winner of the Nova Award (Uruguay), among others at a national and international level.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Carlos Enrique Michaud L\u00f3pez Med. Vet. (Peru)<\/strong>, is a veterinarian specializing in South American camelids, with field experience in biodiversity management and implementation of development projects, mainly in the high Andean area. He is the author of the assessment on the sustainable use of wildlife for the intergovernmental platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services. He currently works as director of the Directorate of Sustainable Management of Wildlife Heritage of the National Forestry and Wildlife Service of Peru. He is an Administrative Authority of CITES in Peru and focal point of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS). He was a volunteer park ranger in the Pampas Galeras – Barbara D’Achille National Reserve. He has experience in implementing projects related to the management of natural resources, mainly in mountains, in environmental health and in the development of local communities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Margarita Del \u00c1guila Mej\u00eda Ing. (Per\u00fa),<\/strong> is an environmental engineer from the National University of San Mart\u00edn, Peru. He has 14 years of experience working with communities for the protection of ecosystems, focused on the conservation of endemic species through Environmental Education and recognition of Community Initiatives for Conservation. In the last 3 years of her professional life, she has been working with more than 200 women in order to empower them and thus contribute to the sustainable development of their community, conserving the protected natural area Bosque de Protecci\u00f3n Alto Mayo. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Bruna Martins Mg.<\/strong> (Brasil),<\/strong> is an oceanographer from the Federal University of Par\u00e1 and has a master’s degree in Ecology and Conservation of Biodiversity from the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC). She currently considers herself a mangueologist (mangrove specialist), due to her training with the tide masters in the Amazonian mangroves. He works in the participatory management of protected areas using an ecosystem approach.
