Mobile Phone Syndromic Surveillance for Respiratory Conditions in an Emergency (COVID-19) Context in Colombia: Representative Survey Design
This is a research output of the project ‘Digital Applications to Monitor Novel Coronavirus Disease and Response in Colombia—syndromic and vaccination surveillance (DIAMOND-R)’. In particular, this study assessed the feasibility of a national active syndromic surveillance system for COVID-19 disease in Colombia. For this study, two pilots of syndromic mobile phone surveys (MPSs) were deployed using interactive voice response technology. Findings included that younger, female, and higher educated participants tend to participate more in syndromic surveys. Read the complete research article here.
